ABCUSA: Jack Helms, OGS Treasurer Cheryl Wade's Father, Dies
VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS)-Jack Lawrence Helms died Wednesday morning surrounded by family at his daughters home in Hardy, VA. He was 83 years old and the father of Cheryl Wade, Associate General Secretary and Treasurer for the Office of the General Secretary, ABCUSA. Helms died of pneumonia complicated by advanced Parkinsons Disease.
Merck shares lower on the demise of Parkinsons drug
Shares in Merck slipped on Friday after the German pharmaceuticals company said it was ending the development of Sarizotan, an experimental treatment for Parkinsons disease, after it failed late-stage clinical trials.
